Audi TT MK3 Rear Trunk Grip Removal
Good Afternoon All,
To put it simply, my trunk lid button ripped (the plastic) on the rear decklid of the car. I need to replace the trim (which also contains the license plate lights) which I have already ordered from Audi. I normally use the Chilton Library to work on my car. However, the Chilton Library has nothing on how to remove that piece and replace it. I have attached images and the diagrams straight from Audi. Any assistance would be very much appreciated! Thank you in advance!

The instructions are in a manual that I do not have but I found a reference that might help:
"10 - Grip Piece
❑ With integrated license plate lamp
❑ Removing and Installing. Refer to ⇒ Electrical Equipment; Rep. Gr. 96 ; Controls; Rear Lid Lock Cylinder Unlock Button - F248- , Removing and Installing ."
There is a link for manuals where you pay $30 for a one day membership and download all you want but I did not get that manual and cannot find the link.
Perhaps someone else can provide the link for manual downloads.
Found it - https://erwin.audiusa.com/

you just have to remove those triangular parts located at each side of the trim before pulling gently the whole trim..
I removed the trim several years ago to retrofit back-up camera on my TTS, but don't remember now if those parts need to be pulled from bottom or from side
