Default Battery concern

I'm thinking about purchasing a 2019 Audi TT and saw that the battery is allegedly rated at 330cca? Is this true? And if so, can this battery handle temps that reach down to -15°F ? This will be my daily driver and will unfortunately be left outside in the winter at times. Can anyone chime in with their cold weather experiences? Thank you much and am looking forward to your responses.

Obviously no experience here on cold weather starts, but CCA is only one of many factors involved in easy starts in extreme cold. Other factors include oil viscosity, engine friction, starter motor torque and efficiency, and length of battery cables.

I just finished going thru a Canadian Winter with my TT-RS... which coincidentally finished this past weekend only... lol I had no problem starting regardless of the temperature.

Indeed, and the engine friction (esp. inertial mass) is relatively low on modern 2.0T 4-bangers. The TT battery is surprisingly large, at a glance indicating Audi did a very good job of designing-in capacity. And although trunk mounted it's a fairly short run of high quality heavy cables. Germany knows cold winters.

OP, if you'll be away for awhile a waterproof Battery Tender Jr. or similar is a good way to go as it does exactly what its name suggests. I've used same over the years.
And of course if very cold a dipstick or block heater is also of value, although not seen as much anymore with synthetic oils, better machining tolerances and materials technology, etc.

The TT battery is the biggest battery of any car I've ever owned, and it has one of the smallest (easiest to start) engines. They intentionally oversized the battery to accommodate the Start/Stop functionality on the base model, as well as the after-run cooler on all models.

Had mine for 3 years here in Iowa where we dipped bellow -20° F many times....starts every time without issue. These cars are subjected to extreme cold weather testing. You can rest assured the battery was appropriately selected to make this car function in cold weather without issue.
