It was $1,400 more -- not the end of the world, but the principal of the matter (IMHO) is that I should not be paying extra for an Audi mismanagement of production. I was only able to negotiate $1,000 back...not the whole thing.

I did not realize you had to pay more for the 2018. I can see why you weren't as convinced of the "deal". Doesn't seem right but hopefully the car makes up for it.

You got a year newer vehicle, which offsets the depreciation down curve, for only $400. Very nice!!

The additional wait time I'm sure was/is frustrating, but lesson learned to not again order so close to the end of a model year production.

True, the price difference was mainly the finance rate...I guess I never knew that March was considered close to the end of production. This was the first produce when ordered vehicle for me. I was thinking three months lead time, but never thought it would be back logged. Oh well...as you said, lesson learned.
