So, seems like a reputable manufacturer... anyone have any insight into if this works? They also have a race version? Curious what the difference is.

Sounds like a way to spend $900 to operate major powertrain components in a new car in a way they weren't designed to. And probably void your warranty.

They are a serious tuner, and have been around for a long time. They, and in particular ABT (which has quite close ties to Audi Sport) would be Germany's two major Audi tuners.

And they have also been selling these for many years, through various versions of Haldex. Basically, they lock the system to a 50/50 torque split. It increases system wear. Apart from that, don't know and have certainly never used one.

As it happens, Autobild (think Car & Driver in the US) have just done a review of an MTM tuned TT-RS. Which included their Haldex controller, and that unit received positive comments from the reviewer. Very quick track car (only 0.2 seconds down on the R8 V10 Plus lap time), but a pig on the road. You'll need to use Google Chrome or similar to translate from German:

I'd be curious how it affects the warranty. Plus, making it a 50/50 split should make it behave like it should've from the factory lol.

Except for wind-up, clutch pack wear, and conflicts with the braking/ESC/torque-vectoring...
