Default Improvements with MMI Updates?

Hi Guys.

I have Version 0139 on my TT Virtual Cockpit. I think this is the first version. One difference I know, it doesnt have the 'Drive Select' (efficiency/off etc.) visible under the Gears that the later versions have.

What other things have been added to the MMI with updates? Or is it basically just optimization and everything is smoother/less glitchy? I noticed in some screenshots the Maps colour scheme looks different?

I have been quoted $900 for the update at Audi.

Thanks so much for your opinion

It's hard to tell what you are asking.

Where are you?

What year and model do you have?

Why do you think there are updates that can be made?

What is your dealer going to do for the $900?

Thank you for the reply

I am in Melbourne, Australia.

I have a 2014 MY15 TT Quattro.

I have seen on here and elsewhere that 0139 is the original and there have been updates since, also I have called Audi and they have confirmed there is an update.

I was quoted $900 at Audi to bring the Software version up to the latest available for my model and the labour costs associated.

Thanks

This thread over at the UK TT forum might help you out. It seems no one knows what the updates will do other than possibly improving response of the MMI.

I recently got an Audi NA letter alerting me to an MMI update available related to data security (MY2016 & 2017). I'll get it at my next annual service in November (the update cited as valid until sometime in 2022).

So yes, there are some updates out there, dependent on model year, region, etc.
