Default just a PSA announcement for express red owners: seat wear

the red on my seats is rubbing off where the seatbelt touches the seats after its clicked on the upper shoulder area. not too happy about this. only 5100 miles on the car. happened to both sides

immediately ordered chemical guys leather protector serum to hopefully minimize future wear

Sorry about this. But it doesn't look like the red is rubbing off -- it looks like the black seat belt is turning the red leather black?

I was able to rub some off, but the rest is rippled in. you can see in one of the pic around the red where its a bit shaved off. its to the point where if I try to rub the black off, its revealing under the leather. you may be right in that it can b heavily stained, but it cant be fixed without a redye. I already sent this to the dealer and they would offer to redye it

Was thinking the same thing, that should clean up in the short term.
Long term probably need to apply Leather Protector on a regular basis.

I long ago lost count of all the coats of Zaino leather-in-a-bottle I've applied. But in my case mostly to maintain the leather shop aroma.

Zaino Store : Z-10 Leather in a Bottle

there were def some spots that was just " stained " that I was able to get rid of. the rest is not coming off, examining it, the area immediately surrounding it is a lighter red, so its leading me to believe its peeling

I think these are only installed on roadsters, and possibly not in the US at all.
It looks like they are needed on all cars to protect the seat not just manage the buckle ....
