M3 Competition to TTRS?? (Yes there's a pic)
Big time Audi guy. Had a 2016 S3 and loved it but in October last year went to the dark side and got a 2017 BMW M3 with the Competition package. The thing is an absolute beast and sounds incredible. Problem is, without AWD, it's very difficult to take advantage of all the power.
Definitely going to be making a move back to Audi once the RS3 or TT RS comes out. Just not sure if I'll be disappointed in a lack of power (though to my point, I'll be able to make more use of it with the Quattro). Prefer the TT RS over the RS3 as I'm a single guy with no kids to haul.
What are my fellow Audi friends thoughts on the move? Is it dumb to go from an M3 Comp to an RS3/TTRS?

They have roughly the same power to weight based on stated specifications, and the TTRS is a faster accelerating car if http://fastestlaps.com/comparisons/o4p31i5i6jl5 is to be believed. As long as you won't miss the room and RWD driving dynamics I think it's a fine change.

If you don't need a four door and that room then why not. I'm a fan of an AWD car also. I have money down on a future M2 CS but am ordering the TT RS now and will see if I like it as much as I hope. I did have a 1M Coupe in the past and while it was fun, it was squirrely as hell. Sure did retain it's value though.

IMHO, M3 are a dime a dozen. You see them everywhere. The TTRS will not only be an amazing daily ride that will put a smile on your face every single time you drive it, but it will certainly not be common...

im not sure what a competition package does for the m3, but iv heard from many that a tts can for sure keep up with a m4, nd a ttrs should be able to surpass that, so I don't think ull miss the power at all
as other had suggest, if u need the room, then u shouldn't look at the ttrs, virtually no backseats.
but the virtual cockpit and the tech <333

So many factors. Street or track? Wet or dry conditions? Manual or dual-clutch auto on the M? The TT-RS obliterates the M3/M4 regular or competition, but the TTS is no slouch and can certainly keep up with the M cars.
A non-competition pkg m3/m4 with a manual tranny (quite common in this iteration) tests on major car magazines from 0-60 in 4.1s. The Audi TTS mkiii tests from 0-60 in 4.2s. Amazing how close those times are considering the m3/m4 has over 100 more HP's.
