I have an Escort Max2 and am happy with it. It's available for about 1/2 the price of the new 360, which isn't 2x as valuable IMHO.
I mounted it below the rear view mirror using a BlendMount BMX-2000R. It is not the newer BMX-2032 which is custom designed for the Audi AUD-008 mirror, so it doesn't sit completely flush with the mirror bottom. It is rock solid though, unlike the bouncy, rattly Escort mounts. I did a direct wire back to the fuse panel, which is nice and clean. You can direct wire into the mirror power, but that requires cutting or soldering into existing wiring.

I have an Escort 9500ix that I will need to mount in the new TT.
Been looking at BlendMount as well.
Note that their MirrorTap wiring product does not require cutting or soldering.
It is based on a 'tap' that connects to the mirror power.

I have the mirror tap and wish I'd realized it's that easy - that would definitely be the easier install option.
I ran the wire back to the internal fuse box. It tucked along the top of the headliner, down the left a-pillar, along the dashboard edge and down the corresponding vertical crease. From there, if you remove the side panel (with TT on it), you can fish the cable back to the fuse panel. I used a fuse adapter on the end of the cable for positive tap. Initially, I attached the earth strap to the exposed black hex head fastener under the TT panel (2nd picture). It looks as if it goes into metal and to earth, but doesn't. I found a larger fastener (I think door hinge related under the vertical trim adjacent to the door opening). This required snipping the O-ring on the earth strap to make a U-ring to fit. It all works and is clean, but the mirror tap would definitely be less work. I don't know why some of the photos are rotated incorrectly - sorry.

I would love to do this for a dashcam but the plug options do not seem to have a micro-USB plug, which seems to be the default for most dashcams.

Any others out there with thoughts on recent detectors? Thinking about Escort Redline XR and Blinders.
Had a V1 and Blinders for 11 years. I'm tired of the V1, but cannot live without the Blinders.

The zinc plated nuts you used Jester are adequate (27% conductivity of copper) but if you find you still have any grounding issues go with aluminum (61%). Heck, so much of the TT is aluminum there should be abundant grounds.
