either way, I like to be different when it comes to cars. the golf r is just so..........bland....looks like the other 29203853252352 gti's on the road. I saw one this morning on my way to work. it was just so boring. I would never consider that car.

I've owned 3 Miatas, very fun car. I have had GTIs and Turbo S Beetles as demos, and had the 1st Quattro TT in the Audi Southern Region, as well as one of the 1st R-32s when they 1st came out. I think the TT is a much better looking car, and as long as you don't need the utility of the hatch, the TT is the way to go in my opinion.

You don't have nearly enough "pros" in your Golf R option #1 to make that choice. Nix the R...it's not what your heart wants. You also have to be true to yourself - it sounds to me like you have the itch to mod. If so, you should factor that in to the budget OR if you love, love, love the TTs as is, then go for the TTs! And perhaps give up another vice to save for the mods that you just can't help yourself from doing.

Someone mentioned the virtual cockpit. That alone is a stand out feature that right now, no other car outside of Audi comes close to it!
