06 A3 w/RNS-E and BT - need your VAG-COM codes!
I am getting my butt kicked coding this 06 A3 with OEM RNS-E to work with a BT module (letter G).
If anyone has an 06 with RNS and BT, I need your codes!
This car has tip, MFSW, RNS, no sat, CD-C (Icelink), and Bose.
Many thanks to Ted and Lee for their assitance to this point - we're all scratching our heads.
Regards,
Ken

2 modules, can't find BT with a handset
We can't find the "G" module with a BT phone.
Have tried 2 different BT handsets.
Have verified that the CAN Gateway "sees" the BT module since we don't get trouble codes from it since changing Byte 3 Bit 7 for telephone.
Have verified that the "K"-line "sees" the BT module since the RNS displays "Your phone is not connected correctly" instead of "No phone present", AND we can write to the BT module with the VAG-COM.
The only TC we get from the RNS is the front speaker diagnostic (we upgraded the amp and the F speakers). Other than that we get no TC from the RNS OR the BT module.
We tried two antennas on the BT module. We tried 2 different "G" modules. We verified wire pinouts on the harness.
The last hope I had was that the BT module wasn't getting CAN data, and so it wouldn't turn on since it didn't see the "ignition on" flag on the CAN bus. But with the CAN Gateway letting us code it for "telephone", I'm figuring that the CAN Gateway is seeing the BT module just fine.

Besides that you coded the gateway, did you check MVB 141 field 4?
Do you connect to the module using CAN or K-Line?
Is BT activated in the specific adaptation channel?

I believe we deduced both are working...
We can write to 77 telephone, which I think is via K line, and we don't get any trouble codes saying that the RNS or MFSW are coded incorrectly, so THEY see the telephone too. We don't get any TCs that the CAN gateway is coded incorrectly when IT's coded for telephone.
We checked channels 134 and 135 - it won't even let us turn it off there.
What is MVB 141 field 4?
