The other day I was sitting in the 90 idling in pretty heavy rain, I shut the car off for a couple minutes then when I stated it, the airbag light started flashing then went solid. it kept doing it so I plugged in Vag-com and tied to get the codes.. ECU scanned fine and was clean so then I tried the airbag but it failed to communicate. then I go through the "turn the ignition off for 30 seconds etc.. " but it still doesn't communicate.

is there anything I'm missing? all the values are default.. baud rate etc..

btw the interface is the old serial one.. hex-com or something? forget right now which one exactly.. I'll take a look when I get a minute if it makes a difference..

I checked the clockspring, per Bentley, and found the resistance to be too high. I've replaced it, but I still can't communicate with the airbag controller.

I'll be watching the posts.
