Default ATF Temp Sensor Readings ('99 A4 1.8T Q)

Hi guys,

Just hooked up VAG to my 99 A4 Tip 1.8T Quattro with the 01V transmission. I'm not running a very high bitrate, only like 4800 BAWD, but all my readings (TPS, Tach, ect) seem pretty fluid/smooth, pretty consistent. When measuring my ATF temp, however, readings are not so hot (pun intended). I only get a new temp every 30 seconds or so, and the reading jumps by 2-3 degrees Celsius each time. Is my ATF temp sensor operating correctly, and is just not very sensitive, or should it be giving me more precise readings? It doesn't seem like Audi to skimp on sensor quality, but I suppose they have to somewhere...

Thanks in advance!
