Auto Scanning on 1997 B5 A4
The only module to be picked up is the Central Locking module. Is this because I haven't registered yet, because I don't want to if I will not have more control????

Hmm..
The unregistered version quits the Auto-Scan after the first control module it finds. Normally that's 01-Engine.
If the first thing it finds is 35-Central Locks, I'd guess you don't have your ignition completely in the ON position. Your instrument clusger should be lit up like a christmas tree, otherwise most control modules won't be powered up and won't talk. The reason Central Locking talks anyway is because it's always powered up, looking for signals from the remotes.

Re: Hmm..
Thanks, it works - it also helps if you read the manual! Have managed to switch the auto lock on and turn the honk off on arming the alarm. Fantastic but what else can you do?
