Curious if anyone here has tried that?

Various other subforums here have expressed universal satisfaction with "Sam" who can do it OTA, for prices that seem to vary from $600 to >$1k (with the range possibly dependent upon some combination of add'l coding requests and market conditions).
But since I already have VCDS, sure seems like I could do it myself ... if someone else has already figured out how to do it!
(Plus I'd have to buy a compatible vehicle first! I'm planning to buy an A6 Allroad -- can wait until next year, but might be tempted for this year, and the ability to enable this would be a factor. The official description on the build sheet says "Matrix-design LED headlights.")
