Help with readiness codes (and YES, I've driven it enough)
Already STFA, but no answers other than "drive it more". Well, I've driven it 7 days and over 400 miles including some highway and the evap emmssion and O2 readiness still show failed. No codes or CEL at all.
All was fine before I had the engine out for some maintenance and Stg3 upgrades.
Does any one know what tests the ECU performs to set the readiness codes? Are there specific things I can check?
Thanks

have you tried to manually set readiness?
What does your measuring block 030 read when the car is at operating temperature? What about 041 and 042? Do you have resistance readings between 0 and 500 ohms there?
If it's oxygen sensor readiness you want to set, go drive the car about 10 miles to make sure everything is up to temp. Go back and park it, engine running. Go into basic settings, group 034 and run the engine at approximately 2200 rpm give or take 100 or so. The test should run. If it does and says test OK, then go to block 035. Keep your revs at 2200, and run through the blocks up through 037.
Then for EVAP, run the car at idle, basic settings group 070, let it run the purge valve test, wait til it says test ok, then go to group 071 and let it run the tank seal integrity test. This one could take up to about 5 minutes, depending on how much fuel you're carrying.
Post back with results please.

If you've driven it that much,
You might wanna have a talk with your tuner. Most especially in the chips for radical mods like a stage 3 kit, tuners have been known to turn certain tests off, and if that's been done in yours, you're just beating a dead horse.
There's also a 14-step procedure in the Bentley that covers "Readiness code, generating" which would be worth trying, but I have my doubts that it will be effective given that you've already driven the car as much as you have.

No, you'd have to ask whomever made the "chip".
The only symptom would be that the readiness will not set, nor will related fault codes be stored.
Since you're pretty local and we're currently working on scripts for the "Guided Readiness" feature in version 7xx, if you would like to bring your car by sometime, I'd be happy to have a look and run the full procedure on it.

Really, when? I just ran the whole procedure for manually setting readiness
Group 034 - Test stays OFF
Group 070 - Test stays OFF
Group 107 - Test stays OFF
Group 041 - Can't get resistance in 1st field
Evap and O2 still show as not ready
Are you around this weekend?

Check the following:
034: 1900-2200 RPM, EGT has to be above 260C.
070: Test not possible during the first 230 seconds after engine start.
107: What do your fuel trims look like after driving the car for a few days?
041: Sounds like the O2 sensor temperature is too low.
I have company this weekend (in-laws).
