The port test in program options works perfect. I cant get to any of the control modules or anything else besides options and about. FWIW, I have an aftermarket alpine headunit (IVA-D900).

Great. I just got mine last Thursday. It's not even like it started working then stopped. :/

I have been using the Snap-on Modis and a 1552 in my shop for my techs and now need to use the vag com for a couple jobs and it will not work. I have owned it for a couple months but have not need it until today, so hopefully someone can shed some light on what is wrong or what I am doing wrong.

Yes. Still no dice. I've also tried on a completely stock A6 and no luck.

Default Listen up people!

If no buttons except Options and About are available, then you didn't click SAVE on the About screen. The instructions on the download page clearly state that you have to click SAVE.

If that's not the problem, then "Can't get it to work" is not enough information for anyone to figure out what's wrong. If you want help with this kind of problem, you have to tell us:

* What kind of PC you're using.
* What kind of interface you're using,
* What version of VAG-COM you're using.
* The exact results when you go to the Options screen and click TEST (with interface plugged into the PC and the car).
* Exactly what happens when you click Select -> 01-Engine.

And of course if you're a Ross-Tech customer, you're welcome to call us for live help in real-time. Our phone number and hours are on our contact page:

Ross-Tech Contact Page
