Default Interior Motion Sensor Module Error

I have a 2001 A6Q 2.7T. I want to change the sensitivity for the Interior Motion Sensor. I am using the latest release of VagCom with a USB-KEY cable. When I try to connect to the control module for the interior sensor, it looks as though the connection times out, and then I get an incompatible module error. FQ7???, something like that. I will have to try and scan again to get exact error. I am unable to connect to all other modules and make changes, but just not this one. I usually use my vag tool with the key just turned forward without starting the engine. Do I need to have the engine running to make this change? Please let me know what else I can try, or whether there is an issue with either my car, or the software.

Here is exact error when trying to connect to control module 45 to set interior motion sensor sensitivity.

Controller uses unknown Protocol!
Protocol Keyword:FF01

I also did an auto-scan, and there are no DTC's, but it can scan module 45 using a different protocol. Why doesn't this work when I try to connect directly to this address? Is there a workaround? I am able to connect to and modify all other addesses.

Result of scan:

Default Hmm,

First, if your KEY-series interface has firmware version 2.0x please update your VAG-COM to version 409.1 from our download page.

If that doesn't solve the problem, I'd be thinking in terms of and issue is with your interior monitoring module. Check the connections to it, maybe some corrosion or a bad ground would be my guess, or possibly a flaky module.
