Major key programming problems; 99 C5 A6
Hey guys, I'm having problems trying to program two new keys on the Avant. It should be noted that these are two new FOB's, as all I had previously were 2 valet keys. I'm using one FOB in the ingition and 1 fob in the driver door lock.
Procedures I've attempted;
Both Ross tech procedures listed;
that is; via the interface-- unable to access field 07 or 21, they are not avaliable
-- via the ignition and door lock procedure-- the car does not respond, I've tried every permutation of lock and then hold in unlock, press the unlock button for posistion 1, ect.. that I can think of. Per Vag-com, memory posistions 3 and 4 are occupiedon the replacement Comfort control module, so I'm hitting the buttons once or twice.
I even recently found a procedure that states to turn the first key to ON and simply hold the second in the unlock posistion for 10second without success.
i have also tried a different used comfort control module as there was water in the box with the orginal.
Also it should be noted, that Vag-com is unable to clear the memory from either module via adaptation function 00. Nor am I able to get the car to respond with the 5 unlock button press procedure to clear the module.
I'm really just lost at this point, every procedure has failed and vag-com is unable to even talk with the Comfort module in any effective way it seems other than to read off it. Both fobs have new batteries, and both have been tested with the dummy light @ autozone. Both were sold as presumably working. They are both the 3 button style.
