Default OK, confused again, about the central locking codes..............

I have an 03 TT roadster Quattro, with hydralically operated top, I tried to set my software code to 15992, as seen in the Audi World Tech section. This gave me the auto door locks, 1 click unlock and windows up/down with key fab. All went well until I went to open the fuel door and the trunk from the center console, neither would work. I had changed the code several days before I noticed these buttons seemed to be disabled. I then returned back to my default code 15900, for the roadster. The center console buttons worked OK. I then tried to just add +32 to my default code, as seen in the tech section, to try and get just the auto locking feature. Same thing happened, auto lock worked but center console buttons are disabled. Am I missing something?? When I first added the +32, the center buttons worked, when I started and drove the car to check the auto lock feature I found that the center buttons were disabled.

Default I think I found my problem in the Bentley manual................

it looks like with the auto door locks, you need to hit the key fob to unlock the doors and also allow the central console buttons to work, sound right?
