$349 for the HEX-USB+CAN interface versus $249 for the KEY-USB interface?

I have a 2004 Audi A6 2.7T.

I'm ready to buy, but I need to know the differences between the two interfaces.

For your car, you don't need the HEX+CAN interface. A reason to consider buying one is if you plan to help others who would have the need for a CAN style interface. Also, the HEX series interface will sample live data a bit faster than the KEY series. Why would you care? If you are looking for live performance data at high revs, the more samples you get the better you can see what your car is doing. The HEX series is built stronger than the KEY series if that matters and we always recommend HEX interfaces to shops where the interface will be used on a daily basis.

I've got a 2001 TT. I assume the same answer applies...KEY is fine but HEX better?
