question regarding functionality

I was logging 3 blocks (20, 115, 34) doing some modifications and logging again. (Audi A4, B6 with ECU 01-8E0-909-518-BC )

For the Modifications, each time we needed access to the OBD2 connector to change the timing/boost (revo software) so we unplugged the vag-com cable did the changes and plugged back in...

The vag-com software obviously lost connection and;
1) it was slow to respond during loss of connection
2) needed to go back to main screen
3) lost all logging settings (blocks selected, turbo mode)

Would it be possible to:

Include a button "retry connection"
AND
Give the ability in the settings to make the "Turbo" mode default when available

If a workaround for these is available, please point me to it and sorry for my ignorance ;-)

PS: I posted this in the vag-com yahoo group and got no responce, so if I am being a pain at least tell me so...
