TCM trouble?? Hard shifting
Hey guys,I ve got 2000 A4. My tranny went into limp mode a few days ago, Dealer towed it(I'm still under Warranty) and said that water got into TCM from leak somewhere. Anyway they blamed my new non Audi windshield and a suppossed crack in the wheel well from a fender bender I had over a year ago. Either way they weren't gonna cover it under warranty.Told me needed $1600 dollar part so I told them after big argument stop what you are doing with car and I'll come get it.Still cost me $200
I have vag and read the codes as below:
Address 01 -------------------------------------------------------

Readiness: 0000 1000
Address 02 -------------------------------------------------------
Controller: 8D0 927 156 AT
Component: AG5 01V 2.8l5V USA 3132
Coding: 00002
Shop #: WSC 00000
5 Faults Found:
18223 - Pressure Control Valve 1 (N215): Short to Plus
P1815 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

18238 - Pressure Control Valve 4 (N218): Short to Plus
P1830 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Anyway dried things out and reset codes and everything is fine ,No fault codes but the tranny is shifting very hard and holding gears for longer. Even slowing down the gears are shifting back very hard.
Can anybody help me out??????. I've been reading for a couple of days on here and this is the first time I haven't been able to find the answer to my problem on this excellent forum!! The only thing I've found is about recoding the TCM, which is currently at 0002?? Or do I need a new one???
I'd really appreciate your help, thanks in advance and sorry for the long post

New TCM should only be ~$635 at dealer, half that at salvage yard. Make sure of P/N. Easy in/out DIY
