Is there a way to break down the control module coding

trying to get canadian coding for hvac on 96 A6Q

I don't think there is a difference between US and Canadian coding for that controller.

what about the rest of the world (could someone post a non US hvac soft code)

if I new what the #'s meant I could fool around with it myself.

Andy, question regarding recoding to change recirc ...

Andy, many older Auids have the problem that the climate control will not allow the use of recirculation w/o the ac compressor on, and it will not turn on below ~37 degrees f. I remember reading that if you tell the control module that the car is canadian (or is in canada) that the recirc button will work independently of the ac compressor, but now I can't find any such report. Was I dreaming, or can this be done?
