Although there's a lot we can do
by emulating the diagnostic functions of the VAS-5051, we can't fix VW/Audi's software bugs!
But hopefully later next year, we'll have the ability to download VW/Audi's "fixes" when they become available.

I used this today.
I have lost communication 3 times, and had to unplug/plug-in to get it back after using turbo button for reads.
Also and I don't imagine it's related but it seems to be, My turbo overboosted a lot when i went to take the reads. Put me in limp mode till I cleared the codes.
neither of these things have happened to me before, and while using this new version today the situation repeated it self 3 times.
I have driven since and not received the overboost again, and never did before.
Any idea if or how it could be related.
I do like the smooth curves and better sampling rate but it did not save my logs, so I cannot use them now.

Well,
I would expect that the ECU should always put the priority on managing the engine first and communications second. But we're pushing the ECU really hard to pump data at those rates, so I won't rule it out.
Try logging without turbo mode and see if it behaves better. You can get ~10 samples / second with traditional agressive timing tweaks on the Options screen with that ECU. If you consistently see different behavior with Turbo mode that without, please let me know.

Re: Well,
how do you make tweaks to the timing/sampling rate in the options screen? what do i change?
I will conduct some tests on thursday as to the effects of the different modes. I have to take a trip and have a co-pilot who can take some logs en route.
