I have a 2001 TT Roadster. Recently had the roof replaced at the dealer. I also had an extra key created and programmed. When I got the car back the Convertible roof didn't work. They told me the Central Locking Module would not accept Roadster codes (15900) but would take Coupe codes.

They said it was just the CLM going out and I needed to replace it. There are no other errors. I can program any code in it except it will not take the code (+16) for the Convertible.

I find it hard to believe it would work fine for years and then all of a sudden fail when they put on a new top. Could they have done something that would cause the CLM to not see the convertible? Is there something that could cause this?

I hooked it up the VAG Cable and I can put in any code that works for a TTC but not a roadster. I don't want to replace the CLM unless I need to. Is there anything else (a fuse, relay) that I should check?
