1999 2.8 A6 quattro rim/tire question

Will a 245/40-18. 18x8 with ET offset of 48 work for this car or are they too big?

With 48mm offset and that tall/wide of a tire I woudl be concerned about clearance in the front. 235/40R18 is more likely to fit, and would more closely match the overall diameter as well.

So I am guessing that since I have KW coilovers that the lowered suspension won't be able to handle it?
