Default ARGH... took a corner too fast and scraped a wheel =(

18 months of Audi ownership and have never messed up a wheel until last week when the alignment shop imbedded 3 small tool marks in my left rear wheel. Now I screwed up the right rear wheel taking on a corner too sharply. The edge of the rim where it meets the tire is scraped up. It's not that noticeable from afar, but it bothers me knowing that it's there!

The car isn't drifting to the right... is it necessary to pay $70 again for another alignment?

Default You're probably fine. Sorry to hear about the wheel damage.

I scraped a wheel slightly after 1 year of ownership. Just caught the edge of a high curb trying to sneak past some traffic. It really shouldn't affect alignment unless you hit the curb with some force.

In my case, the damage to the wheel was really minimal and can't be seen unless you are within a few feet and inspecting the wheels. This kind of damage can usually be repaired on a lathe, or you can sand and do touchup.<p>
