BBS RG-R ...... is it just me? or does this seem odd?
i bought a set of 18x8 RG-Rs used.... my lip sort of has a step in it ... or a line going right down the center of the lip(see pics below)

whereas pictures i see on AW and in European Car Mag ads show the RG-R as having a flat lip that appears much much wider..... (see pic below)

On the rim face the words 'RG 705' appear by the lug nuts.. and the wheels are inscribed 'FORGED' which would indicate they are forged rims... does BBS make other forged rims by the name of 'RG' ...these are the BBS RGRs right? I'm either seeing things wrong.. or ppl take pictures of the rims to make the lip bigger than it really is? I don't want to think i got sold the wrong rims

The size of the lip depends on offset...
The offset of rims for Audi applications is usually higher which results in smaller lip. The offset of rims for BMW, for example, is lower (the rim sticks out more) allowing for larger lip.
That's why you'll see many of the same rims have bigger lips when sitting on BMWs than on Audis.

All of the 3 series applications in 18" for the RGR that we sell are 18X8.5". That width difference and the slight difference in offset will affect the lip size slightly.
