Default Tire Rack, OZ Racing and City of Plymouth, MN - S.O.L.

No response from OZ Racing or City of Plymouth.

Tire Rack's response was that they would gladly accept my $350 for a replacement wheel.

Fine quality product and great customer service all around (sarcasm)

buyer beware

a couple months of driving and you won't have round wheels.

Don't buy or refrain from buying wheels based on any one post. For every person you find that says wheel "x" is horrible, you'll find another person that says it is the most awesome achievement in wheels since the original.

OP admits hitting a pothole and bending a lightweight alloy wheel. I agree that Plymouth should have some responsibility for the damage (road maintenance is after all one reason why you are almost assuredly paying taxes), but Plymouth and almost every other city in the country never pay damages due to potholes. If any decent-sized city north of maybe Virginia ever started paying out, they would be bankrupt in less than a year.

As far as OZ racing and Tirerack, neither of them is responsible for replacing a wheel that is damaged due to anything other than defects in material or workmanship. Hitting a pothole and bending a wheel doesn't fall in that category by a long shot. No wheel company will ever guarantee their wheels to withstand that kind of abuse. However, if you find a company selling 18x8 alloy wheels at 18.6 lbs each that won't bend when hitting potholes, there are thousands of buyers that would be interested...I'm one of them.
