Just purchased S4 (quattro) with Mich. Pilot SX 's. Tires handle fine in the rain, however, I haven't tested them in the snow yet. I am planning on making my first trip to snow country, but I am a little concerned about traction as there is a good deal of snow this week on the roads. Do you think I'll be ok with these tires? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Performance compounds don't grip when cold. Especially when on snow.

You'll get very little traction.

Even quattro cannot make up for performance tires in the snow...you'll be sorry

You go out to a snow covered field to play a little football...in your best pair of patent leathers (shoes, please!)...driving around in your S4 in the snow with high perf tires will be twice as bad! Park your beatiful car, or put the right shoes on!
