FYI: The January 2004 issue of Consumer Reports (CR) has a good article re: over-size tires...
The CR article discusses the effects (pros/cons) for going up one, two, three and four size upgrades. Should be of interest to all vehicle owners.

Yah, timid CR editors caution against harsh ride effects of upsized tires. Yawn. OTOH,
goofballs with dubs or more think they enhance performance when in fact too much of a good thing can be bad. Too bad they neither read CR nor care about the empirical evidence, just seek the street cred.

OK, got me. The reviews are TEPid, I don't know any reviewERS so should not call them timid. But
they have proprietary test facilities in NJ. I subscribe, and the car reviews are almost humorous compared to the enthusiast pubs I get.
