Default Gary@TireRack, do you have SmarTire *valve stem* transmitters? How much for 4?

I don't see them on SmarTire's website, but heard they are available and work with my system.

Thanks in advance!

Default basically...

I have the strap system on two sets of wheels currently. I've had 2 transmitters broken when changing tires in the past. I'm considering new summer wheels/tires and figured it might be a good time to move to the valve stem system assuming it's less prone to damage (at a minimum, you always know where the transmitter is located).

Default Just be aware that not all wheels work with the valve system

due to the size of the sensor and so forth...so we only get these by special order (2/3 weeks or so) for individual replacements $50 each sensor plus $7 each valve stem. Which makes it near the same cost of buying a complete new valve stem system <and have a spare basic display> for $229, which we do happen to have in stock.

Just let me know if you decide to purchase either way.

Nothing that you could verify yourself...it has to do with the shape of the area where you would mount the sensor. This would require having the tire dismounted just to check with a sensor on hand to check fitment.

IMO Better to simply buy two more straps/sensors, which sell at $75/pair <$75 for two sensors and straps>, and takes about 2/3 weeks to get from Smartire.
