Default Help April pick tires for her Ferrari........ pretty please?

So the "sled" needs some new shoes. She sees street and some twisty mountain road driving. We'd like to take her on some road trips, so road noise and comfort do factor into it. Very little wet weather driving, and I have a spare set of wheels and tires for the track, so that's not a consideration.

My first choice at at the moment is Pilot PS2. Not cheap, but lots of happy owners.

Otherwise I'm torn between the well rated Bridgestone RE050 (but I hated my S-03s for being loud, harsh, and prone to tramlining), or the ever popular Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 (ideal rear size is 265/40/18, but they have only 275/35 or 275/40).

What to do?

Why not the Bridgestone RE-01R?

Default Oops.. see your size requirement now. How about BFGoodrich GForceT/A KD?

Default PP RE050A or CSC2...

Coming from S03s myself, the CSC2 was a god-sent. Very comfy and quiet and very little tramlining (I had them in size 225/45/17). I would say go for CSC3 instead of CSC2, but since it's such a new tire, who knows how good it actually is. So, if you don't want to be a guinea pig, then stay with CSC2. I've heard a lot of positive feedback on the RE050A as well.

Why settle for much less on the street? :-)

Default Must have missed that part about road trips. Gotta be reasonably quiet too:)

Actually looking for something that on the street isn't too grippy. On a car with limits this high, it's more fun to induce antics at lower (semi-legal) speeds, than have so much grip that you need to really be going at warp speed to play around;-)
