I just got my A6 less than 2 weeks ago. It has the sport package but came with the 18" rims and I want to change to the 20" OEM wheels. Is there anything I need to know or consider before making this change? I heard that the larger tires handle a little better but the ride is a little bumpier. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have 265/35/20 summer and 245/45/18 all season for winter and think the 265's seem to ride better overall. Maybe the wider tire makes up for the shallower depth.

Thanks, is there any reason why I can't use the 20-inch for both the summer and winter?

Not really. I use the 18" for winter due to pot holes and crappy roads. 18" tires are a lot cheaper.

Update: I've popped 2 ties on the crappy roads around Baltimore on the 20's. If you go 20's get the biggest tire that will fit to take the beating.
