Default Need advise on wheel vibrations with new tires and spacers.

I bought some new tires for my 03' A4, 3.0 with 17in stock sport wheels and suspension. I got some unknown Corsa 2233's (I know I know). I was going on a road trip and need desparately needed some new tires and they popped up for only $320 installed at Kauffman - so I jumped on them thinking "how bad can they be". Anyway, I'm experiencing a slight vibration at highway speed. Then I added wheel spacers (15mm rear, 10mm front) and the vibrations got even worse. It appears to be the rears that get worse. I jacked up all corners and spun the wheels and all of them seem to be slightly out of round (normal?). I told Kauffaman about it and they said to bring it in for rebalancing.

But I'm affraid that they will not be able to balance the wheels. Are tires normally out of round and the blancing makes them seem smooth? Should/can I have them replace the tires? The vibration is annoying without the spacers, but they're really untolerable with them on. I don't know if I should take it in with the spacers to see if they can balance them with them on or just dump the spacers all together.

Default Appearantly, the Kauffman I went to has one according to this locator...

KAUFFMAN TIRE
5770 PEACHTREE INDUSTRIAL BLVD
NORCROSS, GA 30071
Phone: 770-255-0923
Approx. one mile from your location.

I guess I give them another shot. It's just frustrating trying to track down vibration sources.

BTW, I remember your white 2.8 from the B5 forum a couple years ago. It was one of my favorites. Congrats on the new RS4! The only B7 I really like.

Did that last night, wire brushed surfaces too. Slightly improved but not acceptable.

Default What kind of spacers, are you sure they are hubcentric?

If they are H&R the 10mm really only work with BBS chamfered wheels, the OEM Audi chamfer is not quite right.

Default I'm using Ichiba spacers in the front and an ECS spacer in the rear...

They're both hubcentric and fit really well from what I can see on both the hub and the back of the wheel. No play at all. But I also get a slight vibration even when not using the spacers. It just gets worse with the spacers. So it's hard to tell. I think the spacers are going to go on ebay if I can't figure it out. Then just buy a new set of 18's. But I'd like to first figure out what's causing my vibrations..

But my next question is can a Hunter machine and a good tech tell me what's causing the vibration?

Got it rebalanced at the same shop. It was a bad balance job. Ride is fine now.

Shwndh - I saw you thread about Corsa 2233. I need a set of 4 tires and interested in Corsa 2233 because they are so affordable. Can you tell me the performance of Corsa 2233?
