Default Re: Help me define heat cycling

Find a nice, smooth, clean road and just corner easily for a couple of minutes. The tires will get to operating temperature pretty fast and you want to turn in both directions, but without overheating them.
Just don't pound on them. I stop after a couple of minutes and touch the sidewall to see if it feels good and warm, but not hot.
Drive them home and take them off the car and let them sit unloaded on their sides for a couple of days. Good to go.
I always felt like a nut with the hoosiers on my street car for heatcycling. Man are they sharp responding, but scared me with just the glass belts inside on city roads.
