While parking, I badly scraped a rim, damaging the lip about a quarter of the way around it. Small chunks have been taken out of the lip, it is rough and very noticeable. The rim is a 17x7.5 ROH ZS. These rims have a machined lip, and my understanding is that this will make them harder to repair. A new rim costs 300$ canadian (50$ more than when I bought it last year) and I was quoted 250$ to have it repaired. Is this a reasonable estimate, and is it worth saving the
50$ by having the rim repaired or should I just replace it?

I'd go new at those prices. Ask yourself, "How good is the repair job going to be? "
