Default Sport Suspension

If you plan on getting custom 17" wheels and probably H&R or Eibach springs to
drop the car, is there any reason to get the sport suspension?

Default Hmmm....you didn't mention shocks or swaybars.........

....you'd want new shocks to use with the springs as the stock ones aren't a good match for a stiffer/lower aftermarket spring.

You'll probably also want to purchase the Audi "sport" sway bars (I bought mine from Clair Parts) or go with a set of aftermarket bars.
