At what point do you say "it's winter" and change setup ? In the NE it's already in the 30's at night, mid 40's and low 50's during the day. How cold before the "summer" Pirelli's go off ?

I'd say when the average high temperatures are consistantly in the mid to low 40's...Low enough that a cold snap and hard snow might stick for a couple days. A few guys here already have their snows on, but I'd say they're a bit early for northern Indiana.

That's when we got a foot of snow and it's still snowing on and off. Hasn't really melted either.
That would be in Calgary, AB.

I put my snow tires on yesterday.

Those 30 degree temperatures (at night) could be problematic for summer tires.
