Will 235/40-17 fit TT's stock 17x7.5 wheels?
Have anybody tried to run anything larger than the stock 225/45-17 with factory 17x7.5 forged 5 spokes on their TT. I want to upgrade and haven't decided on using the stock rims or upgrading to 18's. Any suggestions are appreciated.

While i haven't actually tried them, I believe they will as this was the size i was going to buy. Note that the overall (wheel + tire) radius will be 7.25mm shorter with this setup. This should give an improvement in acceleration, but will make your speedo off by about 2%. 245/40-17 is the more correct size if you want the lower profile/wider tire, however, in this case "lower profile" is somewhat of a misnomer as the amount of rubber between the wheel and the road is about the same (98mm vs 101.25mm for the stock 225/45).
As far as width in the wheelwell, I don't know how wide you can go.
