Will 255/40/17 fit on a my2000 2.7t A6? would RS4 wheel(7.5 x 17) be wide enough to take the tire?
Will the RS4 rim clear the HP2 Brakes?
Would the RS6 (8 x 17... I think) wheel be a better answer? Will it clear the HP2 brakes?

255/40R17 tires list a minimum rim width of 8.5"
Some have gotten away with them on 8" wheels, not recommended, but I've seen it done. 7.5" would be too narrow.
