DJO-S4

I am considering the Dunlop Winter Sport M2 for winter use. The 205/55HR16 would be better in the snow and is cheaper per tire than the 17". To justify a new wheel/tire package, I would need some real cheap wheels. Does anyone have any suggestions with this problem to get me through the 4 Winter months?

...I went with 16" AT Italia S5 alloy rims ($125 per) and Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22's (205-55-16) for my S4 Avant. Total cost including shipping was right around $1k.

Two other choices are:

1) 16" A6 2.7T take-off wheels that someone might be selling at the moment. These wheels (two different styles) will clear the S4 brake calipers.

2) 16" TT replica wheels from Direct Tire (or was it Discount Tire). I remember seeing them for something like $96 per wheel (or something like that) not too long ago. They fit the S4 as well.

There are no steel wheels available that fit the S4, so inexpensive alloys is your only choice.

Will the 15" Borbets and Hakka snows I posted this morning fit an S4? I am not sure.

Nope, 15" rims won't clear the S4 brakes.
