Default Word of warning when buying wheels.

I have been waiting patiently for 3 months for my New set of wheels.
I Liked the look of Boyd Coddington wheels, The "timeless" ones. in 17x8,
Well they do not fit (Also the 18"x8)on my A4 with my large Calipers!! Urgently looking around for other wheels, a lot of wheels are in the same boat when you have large brakes.
For now I have to stick with my Oz Turizmo wheels.
But If you ever are thinking of a brake upgrade down the track, be carefull which wheel, as you still might not be able to fite larger brakes even with many 18" wheels.
It not the diameter the problem, rather the clearance from inside of spoke to Caliper.
Damn Damn, Look all over again!

Lucas - Being stuck with Oz Turizmo wheels is not a bad situtation. They look great.

Default A good rule of thumb (more)

That is a good point that was made. On a brake upgrade, if you apre planning on increasing/upgrading brake size, if you are ordering wheels, LET US KNOW!

If you are ordering wheels from me at Tire Rack, call me. I can usually work with you & my wheel engiuneers to verify a fitment before you buy. All fitments are made using OEM specs, so it is necessary to know if you plan on changing.

A good rule of thumb you would be safe with is to use an S4 fitment for the A4 series. Given the large calipers, if it fits the S4, you will probably be fine inchanging over.

The RKs will fit a brake upgrade, as I have found for 2 customers so far.

Any questions, give me a call!
Thanks!<p>Eddie

Default SSR Integral

Thanks Eddie.

Just adding to your database:

18 inch SSR integrals will fit over Alcon B and Brembo Black calipers.

17 inch SSR's will not fit.

Default Does that mean an 18" SSR Integral will fit an S4? Eddie at

Tirerack said the SSR Integral wouldn't fit the S4, but was he assuming the 17" or any size? Thx.

No, the Alcon B-types are narrower than the stock S4 calipers.
