TT Goes Safari for 2019 Wörthersee Show
Audi has a long history of rally success, but now they've got a TT worthy of taking on a safari, too.
Off-Road TT
These days, off-road performance cars are all the rage. And now, Audi has joined the fray themselves with this bonkers TT Safari, which they debuted at at this year's Wörthersee GTI car meet in Austria.

One Off Build
The TT Safari was built by company trainees as a one-off, of course. But truthfully, we think that it'd be an enticing offering in the real world, with its Dakar-ready appearances.

Beefed Up
But if this wild creation is any indication, the future of Audi is in good hands. Or at least creative ones. With big beefy tires and fender flares, this TT also certainly looks like it could conquer trails with ease.

Backup Plan
Naturally, anything that goes off-road needs a couple of spares on board too. So this TT gives up its rear storage space for a pair of extra knobby tires.

Race Team Ready
As if all of that doesn't scream rally enough for you, the Audi team also fitted their concept with yellow lighting, a new grille, and a classy gray, white, and yellow livery that looks race team ready.

Form Over Function
That theme carries over to the inside, where you'll find plenty of yellow accents that jazz things up a bit. Even the windshield was tinted yellow, presumably more for looks than actual function.

Road (I)legal?
Of course, that little detail probably renders this interesting idea illegal for actual public roads. But who cares about that when you've got so many unpaved surfaces to explore with it?

Hush Job
Outside of the exterior and interior, however, Audi has given zero clues pertaining to any other modifications this wild TT might have. Including any potential drivetrain upgrades.

Upgrade Me
But alas, we can dream. And we'd personally spec this car with the 2.5-liter five-cylinder from the TT RS, naturally.

Attention Grabber
Regardless, those sorts of details are pretty much moot on a vehicle like this that is designed to lure your eyeballs to it. And we'd say that it did a fantastic job in that department if nothing else!
