Hi, is there an activated charcoal cabin air filter for the A6 that you recommend? Looking for ways to minimize odor in my A6 and I think an activated charcoal cabin air filter tends to fall into that category.

Not what you're looking for, but to help avoid a headache: Stay away from this one - it is oversize and does NOT fit even though the application guide says it fits, don't believe it. I haven't yet located an activated charcoal one that will fit

Cabin filter aside, turn off your AC and keep fan running, say a block or so from home. This will help dry out the unit to minimize a bacterial build up. I found this works nicely.

I may have to try this. I could not stand the odor during A/C startup.

I bought the Mann charcoal from Pelican Parts. Very happy with it.
They also have a OEM Audi, and clones at a cheaper price.

+1. I've been doing this on all of my cars for years and it works, unless it's super muggy outside!

Does A6 come with charcoal cabin filter as standard? I don't recall seeing this in the manual. What is the recommended change interval?

IIRC, Audi care changes it at 15,000 miles and every 20,000 miles after that.
