Bought my well maintained '06 Avant 3.2 w/182K May 2014. So far the only issues have been several CEL's which I determined were caused by my filling the tank to the very limit! Once I stopped doing that no more CEL's. The PO mentioned that he had several times had trouble restarting after fill up. About 2K mi ago this became consistent. Every time I filled it (self fill on pump at low speed until auto shut off) it would stumble & act flooded. Called the INDY AUDI guy who sold it to the PO and he recommended I change the purge valve located at the top rear of intake manifold. Found a new Bosch unit on fleabay for $15.69, popped it in and Voila! Started cleanly & instantly after filling! I love this car!

GL with A6, I love mine. Wasn't sure I would as I love my '95 S6 Avant but truly disliked the lo mileage (40K) '99 A6 Avant I bought for my wife 5 yrs. ago.
It was an oil leaking, ctrl arm eating & plastic bits breaking PITA. Major improvement in C6! And mine has 200K!
