Default Crazy estimate

I called a local Audi specialist in SoCal and asked for pricing on installing lowering springs I already purchased (h&r sport). I have sport suspension on 2011 A6 C6 prestige+ and would be using original struts. Just to swap the springs and alignment he was charging $900! I told him he's not bending this guy over and hung up. Am I crazy or is that not ridiculous? Just wondering...

That's crazy. I gave my Indy a case of beer and $200 and he installed my coil overs. I paid an additional $100 for full alignment.

I know, right. I'm going to have to install myself. Thanks for the info.

There are a ton of good Indy shops in so cal. Call around, I wouldn't waste a day doing ask the work vs having an expert do it. Especially for a couple hundred bucks

Give Canyon Racer in Mission Viejo a call. I had them install my springs for around $350 a few years ago. They specialize in Audis and VWs. You will have to take the car to a local tire shop to get it aligned but most shops charge around $100. $900 seems expensive.
