Dude, this car is worth more than $3500 in parts alone... can't go wrong

Plus, if you just fix it and resell it immediately (for a lot more), the "money pit" concern is irrelevant.

Good luck! Post some pics when you get it and when you start taking it apart.

This is actually what I'm kind of thinking. As much as I want to keep it, my real priority is saving to buy back a twin turbo Corvette I got forced into selling 4 years ago now. I figure even if I had to pull the heads on this one, I could still flip and make a couple of grand to add to the kitty for the Vette while still getting a real taste of a C6 A6 which would let me know if I truly want one as a driver or not. From what I've seen so far, that's a big freaking yes though. Love that interior so much.

Deal is sealed. Paying for it Monday, getting title and lien release at the bank (previous owner has a lien on it) and towing it home monday morning. By end of day Tuesday I anticipate having the valve covers off and finding out A, if it's in time and B, if there's any bent valves. More to come!

good luck with your purchase and I hope it works out good for you....if you fix it u can sell for profit to get you vette if u decide to keep it @180k miles you gonna need a lot of suspension work in order to have it drive like an audi ...on my second c6 now and I can tell you once u hit the 70-90k miles on audis suspension feels funny......that's why my car cost me a lot of money because I always want it to drive like an audi

if u decide to part this A6 out I'd be interested in the shark fin antenna if it came equipped with navigation and sat radio.

Won't be parting the car out, sorry. Far too nice to do that.

Good luck on your new project. With that many miles, you may only get "bargin hunters" interested in your new A6. Unfortunately most buyers are afraid of used cars with over 75K miles. The good news is that you may find it cheaper to keep as a daily driver. Look forward to follow the progress of your new A6 project.

Well......she's coming to my home in a couple hours!! I'm admittedly excited because its a nice project away from my turbo trans am to work on for a couple weeks. Going to try to compression test later today but I worked a overnight 12 hour shift last night from 6pm to 6 am (BF Goodrich tire plant) and was up at noon yesterday.......so guess who's tired, lol?
