In the past month, I have had two weird problems with the center console display of my NAV:

1) After inputting a destination, the MMI screen correctly displayed the navigation while the center console display for NAV was completely blank...a black display. Of course, after restarting the car, the problem has not recurred.

2) This weekend, I set the destination to a route I have taken dozens of times before. This is a 200+ mile trip. At a freeway turn for which the NAV has always correctly directed me, the turn was not indicated in the center console or the HUD. The MMI displayed map illustrated the highway that I was to exit. For the remaining 40 miles of the trip, the center console displayed the correct remaining mileage, time, etc.; but the highway displayed continued to be wrong. The MMI display continued to show my actual route. Again, after the next time I started my car and entered the return destination, everything was fine.

I am fortunate that I knew the exit that I needed to take. Otherwise, following the console and HUD directions, I would have missed my destination by many, many miles.

For the past three years, I have tried many, many times to get my Audi dealer (excellent in all other respects) to update my MMI software. My version is still the 2012 release (5.?? something).

I am interested to know if anyone else has experienced these issues with their NAV.
