Be sure to 'follow' the arrows around the fibre loop too, as molded into the connector.
Out goes to in goes to out, etc.

I just ended up taking the CD changer out and putting the ami box in. Can't remember last time I handled a music cd...

Thanks, that instruction maual was exactly what I was needing. I searched the forum and Google with "AMI retrofit" and several other permutations of that but never found much...guess I dont know how to search the forum in the right way.

The last time I did an AMI retro install I bought a true plu-n-play cable from a Polish chap on eBay UK. When I was getting ready for this one I could not find the Polish source (I have since though) in my records, so I ordered a set from German eBay where they showed the true plug-n-play set with 4 plugs, but instead sent this half-assed set like Audi sells that I have to screw with to make work.

Rather than send it back , lose the shipping money and time, I will use the info you supplied and go ahead with the install. But in the future I will get the Polish cable set, and anyone who wants can PM me if they want the info to order the Polish cable.
